Supporting  the  Grass  roots

“…I can officially announce that F1Polecat.com will be sponsoring Mark Adkins of Minitron Racing for the 2025 Champion of Brands Series…”

So I’m really excited about this…

OK, to explain the full story Mark Adkins is one of the drivers for Minitron Racing in the Formula Ford Championship. Regular readers may recognise that I did an interview with Mark recently, which you can read in full here.

However following the interview, I followed up by reaching out to Mark to request if I could sponsor his Jamun M92, in order to help me get the word out about F1polecat.com, and I’m straight up stoked to say he agreed.

This means I can officially announce that F1Polecat.com will be sponsoring Mark Adkins for the 2025 Champion of Brands Series.

I’m hoping to get some official images at the pre-season planning photo shoot with Black 4 in action at Brands Hatch, sporting our site logo and branding. But for now, check out the initial proof (see the photo above) that was sent through to me to approve.

Why sponsoring a driver matters…

Most people know that Formula 1 is the most expensive sport in the world, with teams spending millions on cars, designs, aerodynamics, staff, drivers, engineering. logistics and so much other stuff. Fortunately each team gets sponsorship from various global companies and partnership deals that help F1 teams to compete in return for advertising on their livery (and race suits!).

Unfortunately, at the grass roots level of motorsport, in order to keep the sport going drivers in the lower leagues have to buy all their own parts and fix their own cars, unless they can get any small sponsorship deals. These deals may be for a few hundred pounds or a few thousand and can help drivers with spare parts, race fees, maintenance, tyres, fuel and everything else needed to turn up and slay the track.

This is why I’ve put my pocket money where my mouth is and stepped up to badge up with Minitron, and I’ll be at Brands Hatch supporting Mark through the season.

In case you’d also like to support grass roots, Mark’s looking for further sponsors for the 2025 season, so give me a shout if you or someone with a company you know would like to have your name on a racing car (prices start from around £150)
